IATA reports that global premium travel is up 3.8 per cent year-on-year for April compared with 1.9 per cent growth in March. Advanced economies are seeing stronger improvements than emerging markets, but demand drivers are now stabilising. China is an exception to trends in emerging economies with business travel on the increase. This could explain the 7.2 per cent increase in the Far East market for April compared with 1.6 per cent for March. Middle East economies also posted strong results.
