Improving A LOT

LOT Polish Airlines is expected to approach break-even in 2013, despite earlier predictions that it would lose about $50m in the calendar year. The new forecast for a $7m net loss means the company’s restructuring plan is progressing ahead of schedule, though LOT conceded that the impact of 787 groundings would not be seen until next year. Compensation from Boeing, speculated to be around $30m, has been agreed.
