Indonesian Ash Cloud Forces Airports To Close

Five airports have been closed due to an ash cloud in Mount Kelud, east Java, Indonesia. Surabaya, Malang, Semarang, Jogyakarta and Solo airports were all closed on 14 February as a result of the volcanic eruption. Airlines operating out of neighbouring regions, including Australia, Bali and the Christmas Islands have also been forced to cancel flights. The volcano has been erupting for the last six months, causing thousands of local inhabitants to flee.
