JAL commits to big MRJ order

Japan Airlines (JAL) has signed a letter of intent to buy 32 MRJ aircraft from Mitsubishi.

 

Japan Airlines (JAL) has signed a letter of intent to buy 32 MRJ aircraft from Mitsubishi.

The new 70-90 seat jets will be operated by JAL’s regional subsidiary J-Air from 2021.

The PW1200G-powered MRJ is the first passenger jet to be manufactured in Japan and is due to take its first flight in Q2 of next year and enter into service in 2017.
