JAL Confirms MRJ Purchase

Flag carrier Japan Airlines (JAL) has confirmed today (January 28) its order for 32 Mitsubishi Regional Jet (MRJ) aircraft following a letter of intent signed last August.

Flag carrier Japan Airlines (JAL) has confirmed today (January 28) its order for 32 Mitsubishi Regional Jet (MRJ) aircraft following a letter of intent signed last August.

JAL’s regional airline subsidiary J-Air will operate the fleet of 32 MRJs with deliveries of the aircraft scheduled to start in 2021.

Mitsubishi Aircraft said 407 MRJs (223 firm, 160 options and 24 purchase rights) are currently on order.
