Jeppesen, Qatar shake hands on EFB contract

Jeppesen and Qatar Airways have agreed to a five year service renewal agreement that will provide the airline with tailored electronic charting and Jeppesen’s ‘FliteDeck Pro’ electronic flight bag (EFB) services. Under the agreement, the carrier will receive digital charting navigation solutions and paper chart revision services and access to Jeppesen’s ‘eLink’ for Windows, which provides PC-based updated electronic terminal charts, documentation and other vital flight information. Qatar Airways will now integrate mobile ‘FliteDeck Pro’ EFB service on iPads to increase situational awareness; it will also enhance the EFB service on its EFB class 2 equipped aircraft and A320 aircraft in the near future.
