Jet Progresses With Restructuring

Indian network carrier Jet Airways is confident it can return to profitability by 2017 following a 26 per cent reduction in losses for Q1 2014. The airline, part-owned by Etihad, reported a 12 per cent boost to sales thanks, in part, to a surge in codeshare traffic. Its load factor reached 80.2 per cent, while costs began to fall due to joint initiatives with Etihad; Jet said it would save about $50m per year from renegotiated maintenance contracts, for instance
