Jetstar Japan Takes First Sharklet-Equipped A320

Low-cost carrier Jetstar Japan has taken delivery of its first A320 aircraft to be equipped with Sharklet wing-tip devices. It becomes the first Japanese carrier for the type. Jetstar Japan, a joint venture between Qantas, Japan Airlines, Mitsubishi and Century Tokyo Leasing Corporation, started operations in July 2012. “We are very happy to be the first operator of the latest version of the cost efficient A320 in Japan,” stated airline president Miyuki Suzuki. “The new Sharklet-equipped A320 will help us to save on fuel costs and allow us to continue to offer low fares to our customer.”
