JorAMco Secures Safi Airways Base MRO Contract

Privately owned Afghan airline Safi Airways has contracted JorAMco to provide heavy airframe MRO services for three of its A320 family aircraft.

Privately owned Afghan airline Safi Airways has contracted JorAMco to provide heavy airframe MRO services for three of its A320 family aircraft.

Under the contract the Jordan-based MRO will provide C checks and A checks on the aircraft, as well as work required to meet some airworthiness directives and service bulletins at its facility at Queen Alia International Airport.

Safi Airways, which is based in Kabul, operates flights to Dubai, Jeddah, Delhi and Islamabad, as well as a domestic service to Herat.

The carrier also has FBO and ground handling operations at Kabul International Airport.
