Lao Central To Use SSJ100 To Push Its Network

Lao Central has received its first Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100) direct from the manufacturer. The aircraft, serial number 95026, was flown from Ulianovsk, Russia to Wattay International Airport, Lao. Lao Central is planning to operate the Superjet 100 both in domestic and international routes from Laos to Bangkok, Hanoi, Ho Chi Ming, Singapore and other destinations in South East Asia. “We are confident that Lao Central will benefit from operations of SSJ100 along its route network while passengers will enjoy the comfort of the aircraft cabin,” said Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company (SCAC) president Andrey Kalinovsky. SCAC and Lao Central signed a contract for delivery of three SSJ100s in March 2011; the deal included options for six aircraft of the same type.
