US regional carrier Air Wisconsin Airlines has awarded Lockheed Martin Commercial Engine Solutions (LMCES) a five-year contract to carry out MRO services on its CF34-3 engines.

The new agreement also includes two one-year options, which could extend the contracted services through to 2023.

LMCES will begin repair and overhaul work for Air Wisconsin in Q2 2016 at its facility in Montreal, where it has carried out work on the engine type for nearly 20 years.

Janet Huculak, vice-president of strategic sourcing and procurement for Air Wisconsin, said the carrier selected LMCES based on its “customer service, technical expertise, ability to meet turn times and flexibility in finding customised, value-driven solutions.”
