Lufthansa Technik Pens WOW Air A330 TCS Contract

Lufthansa Technik has signed a three-year component support agreement with Icelandic low-cost carrier WOW air, covering its three Trent 700-powered A330 aircraft.

Both parties disclosed that the Total Component Support (TCS) contract commenced at the beginning of August 2016.

Under the terms of the deal, Lufthansa Technik will cover overhaul of line replaceable units, pooling and home base lease.

The supply of components will be conducted from the German MRO’s facilities in Frankfurt and Hamburg along with warehouses located in the US.

"This agreement will provide WOW air with the support needed while launching our US and Europe A330 widebody network, by minimiSing technical delays and optimising dispatch reliability," said Aegir Thorberg Jonsson, director technical operation at WOW air.
