Monarch Aircraft Engineering (MAEL) has signed a line maintenance technical handling agreement with Cypriot charter carrier Cobalt Aero.
Under the terms of the contract, the UK-based MRO will cover Cobalt’s fleet of A320 aircraft with line maintenance.
The aircraft are operated on flights from its home base in Larnaca to Birmingham and Manchester airports.
Neil Kirby, sales manager at Luton-headquartered MAEL, said customers in locations such as Cyprus are rapidly growing.
Cobalt commenced operations in July of this year, becoming the second Cypriot airline after Tus Airways to be established since the collapse of Cyprus Airways in 2015.
