MAS denounces MH370 book

Allegations about the fate of MH370 in a new book have been angrily refuted by Malaysia Airlines (MAS). Co-authors Geoff Taylor and Ewan Wilson – the latter of whom MAS refers to “as a convicted New Zealand criminal fraudster” – have claimed that the flight’s pilot intentionally switched off its cabin oxygen supply and activated its autopilot. “There is no evidence to support any of the claims made in the book which is a product of pure conjecture for the purposes of profit by the authors and publishers,” wrote MAS in a statement. After noting that Taylor and Wilson are not involved in the MH370 investigation, MAS added: “The authors and publishers should quite simply be ashamed of themselves for what is nothing more than a cheap and maligned publicity stunt.”
