Monarch Completes Novair C-check

Swedish carrier will return narrowbody to lessor following heavy maintenance work in the UK.

Monarch Aircraft Engineering has announced completion of an end of lease C-check for Swedish charter carrier Novair.

The heavy maintenance work was successfully carried out on an Airbus A321-231 at Monarch’s aircraft maintenance facility in Birmingham last month.

Following completion, the narrowbody was released back to Novair before the carrier returned the aircraft back to the leasing arm of the Macquarie Group.

The Stockholm-based airline,  a new customer for the engineering division of the Monarch Group, operates a fleet of three Airbus A320s, flying mostly on routes from Sweden to the Mediterranean region and the Canary Islands.

It is scheduled to take delivery of two Airbus A321neo aircraft later this year.
