Norwegian Air Shuttle (NAS) has issued NOK225m ($33.2m) of secure bonds to finance the construction of a new hangar at Gardermoen, near Oslo Airport.

NAS says it has opted to finance the project through bonds secured on the new hangar rather than a bank loan because of its “continued presence in the capital market”.

The carrier expects the proceeds of the bond loan, which was oversubscribed, to be settled on November 21.
