NTSB Update On 787 Battery Fire Investigation

The investigative work into the January 7, 2013 fire on-board a Japan Airlines 787 aircraft at Logan International Airport in Boston, is estimated to be completed by the end of March, according to the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). The analytical and report writing phase of the investigation will follow the completion of the investigative activities. The final report, including the probable cause of the battery fire, is expected to be presented to the Board at a public meeting in Washington later this year; the date of the Board meeting is yet to be announced.
