Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has successfully carried out its first ever C-check on an A320 aircraft at its engineering facility in Karachi.

PIA said that as part of the work carried out by its engineering and maintenance department, it changed carpet and seat covers of the aircraft while also conducting a deep clean of the cabin and washrooms.

The airline’s CEO Bernd Hildenbrand said the airline is now looking to offer third-party services on the aircraft to airlines in Pakistan and overseas.

It currently holds approvals to carry out all forms of heavy maintenance checks.
