Unions representing staff at fractional jet owner NetJets are to launch four days of industrial action today (November 13) over pay and conditions.

The NetJets Unions Coalition – an alliance comprising the NetJets Association of Shared Aircraft Pilots and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 284 – are set to begin picketing at Henderson Executive Airport and McCarren International Airport in Las Vegas from 12pm.

The unions, which represent more than 2,700 pilots and 500 dispatchers, flight attendants, maintenance controllers, mechanics and stock clerks, argue that NetJets is demanding “diminished compensation, benefits and work rules” from staff “despite record profitability” and that bargaining over conditions has been “painstakingly slow” citing the example of flight attendants who have been in contract talks for more than three years.
