Progress For Tata’s JV Airlines

Singapore Airlines and Indian conglomerate Tata Sons have received the go-ahead for their airline joint venture from India's Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB). The new Indian full service carrier is to be 51 per cent owned by Tata and 49 per cent by Singapore. Meanwhile, Tata’s low-cost carrier joint venture with AirAsia should receive its air operator certificate in January, according to Arun Mishra, director general of civil aviation.
