Pratt & Whitney has signed memorandums of understanding (MOU) with Brazilian airline Azul and lessor Aircastle to provide engine maintenance for their future Embraer fleets.

The MOUs, signed at the Paris Air Show, cover off-wing maintenance for the PW19000G engine, the sole powerplant on the E190-E2 and E195-E2 jets.

When finalised, the fleet management agreement with Azul will cover 30 E195-E2s, plus its 20 options, while the Aircastle contract would cover up to 25 of the regional jets.

The first delivery of the E190-E2 is scheduled for the first half of 2018 while the E195-E2 is scheduled to enter service in 2019.
