Etihad Airways says 2014 saw its "strongest operational performance" to date, with the carrier transporting a record number of passengers and cargo.
The airline reported a 23 per cent increase in passengers compared with 2013 figures, carrying close to 14.8 million flyers last year.
Etihad said the growth in passenger demand continues to exceed its increases in capacity.
Etihad claims it carried more than three-quarters of the 19.9 million travellers who passed through Abu Dhabi International Airport in 2014.
The airline’s cargo business also reported strong growth in 2014 carrying 568,648 tonnes of freight and mail, a 17 per cent increase on 2013 figures.
