Low-cost carrier Ryanair has increased its profit forecast for the current financial year and now expects to deliver a profit of between €840m ($952m) and €850m ($963m).

In the final three months of 2014 (Q3 for Ryanair), the Irish airline reported a net profit of €49m ($55.5m) for compared with a loss of €35m ($39.6m) for the same period a year earlier.

However, Ryanair warned that falling oil prices, which have resulted in reduced air fares at rival airlines, could signal more “modest” growth in 2015/16 because it is tied into fuel hedges for next year at $92 a barrel.
