SF Airlines Places PTF Order With Boeing

SF Airlines has placed an order for an undisclosed number of 767-300ER passenger-to-freighter conversions. A subsidiary of Shenzhen, a China-based delivery services company, SF Express is scheduled to accept its first redelivered 767 in the second half of 2015.

The president of SF Airlines, Li Sheng, stated that SF Express aims to "become China’s most respected and reliable international courier company” and that the addition of widebody and narrowbody Boeing freighters would allow it to "expand its service network".

The OEM predicts that air cargo traffic will grow at an annual rate of 4.7 per cent over the next 20 years, with global air freight traffic expected to double by 2033.
