SilkAir has showcased its first 737-800 at the Singapore Airshow. The carrier took delivery of the aircraft on February 3, and it will take its first commercial flight on February 20, one day before Silk Air's 25th anniversary. The 737, which was displayed for one day only, featured SilkAir's 25th anniversary livery in honour of the timing. It is one of 54 737s that the carrier ordered under its plans to move from its current 24 Airbus aircraft to an all-Boeing fleet. SilkAir will take a further eight aircraft this year, the next will arrive in mid-March and the rest will be delivered by 2020.
