Singapore Airlines (SIA) has cutback an order for 70 A350-900s by seven aircraft following request made by Airbus for unspecified reasons.

Singapore Airlines (SIA) has cutback an order for 70 A350-900s by seven aircraft following request made by Airbus for unspecified reasons.

SIA now has an order backlog of 63 A350s with purchase options for a further 20 of the aircraft.

In a statement released to the stock market, SIA said the reduction “will not materially affect” its fleet renewal or growth plans, starting adjustments had already been made to bring forward deliveries of other A350-900 aircraft on order.

SIA is scheduled to take delivery of its first A350 in January 2016.
