Small Planet Modernises Its Leased Fleet

Small Planet Airlines is returning two of its oldest aircraft to its lessors and in turn, has signed agreements for three younger A320-220 aircraft. In August, the carrier signed with Aircastle and CIT Aerospace for the three A320-220 aircraft. The airline will take delivery of the aircraft from spring 2014; one will be based in Lithuania, another in Poland and the third one will be a back-up aircraft. In total, the airline's fleet will grow to 10 aircraft next year, one of which will be a stand-by unit.
