Southwest Airlines’ facilities maintenance technicians reached an agreement-in-principle with airline management, the carrier said on Sept. 13.
The agreement comes after the group rejected a previous five-year tentative agreement in late December (Aviation Daily, Jan. 4). The deal, if ratified, would include work rules, pay scale and a signing bonus.
The Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association (AMFA) National Executive Committee will review the agreement first, the airline said. If approved, 37 people in the group would be able to vote on its ratification.
