US-based StandardAero is to provide engine MRO services for European cargo airline West Atlantic after signing a five-year contract, with a five-year renewal option.
Under the contract StandardAero will be responsible for maintaining West Atlantic’s fleet of PW126 engines that power its 41 BAe ATP aircraft.
The majority of services will take place at StandardAero's European service centre in Tilburg, Netherlands, with additional maintenance performed at the MRO's site in Winnipeg, Canada and at West Atlantic’s bases in Sweden and the UK.
The agreement also includes the provision of field services by StandardAero’s technicians.
Last April, StandardAero signed an agreement with West Atlantic to service the CF34 engines powering the airline’s CRJ-200 aircraft.
