Thai Airways has confirmed it will retire its fleet of six A340-600 aircraft on March 28.

Thai Airways has confirmed it will retire its fleet of six A340-600 aircraft on March 28.

Thailand’s flag carrier had previously confirmed that it planned to retire the aircraft at some point between 2015 and 2017.

The aircraft, which have an average age of nine years, are used on the airline’s long-haul routes from Bangkok to Frankfurt and Zurich, and on some flights to Singapore, Hong Kong and Delhi.
