Czech Republic-based charter airline Travel Service has firmed its order for three 737 MAX 8s, valued at $301.5m at list prices. The carrier first announced a commitment to buy the 737 MAX at the Paris Air Show, last June. The new aircraft will be added to its existing fleet of 28 next generation 737s. “The 737 MAX will be an excellent fit for Travel Service, enabling the carrier to continue to expand its ever-increasing route network,” said Todd Nelp, VP of European sales at Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Travel Service offers charter flights to more than 230 airports. Its Smart Wings subsidiary runs low-cost scheduled services to major European destinations.
