Turkish Airlines has signed a firm order with Airbus for four A330-200 freighter aircraft as part of its expansion plans for the cargo market.

Turkish Airlines has signed a firm order with Airbus for four A330-200 freighter aircraft as part of its expansion plans for the cargo market.

The order, which is worth nearly $930m at current list prices, will see Turkish Cargo’s fleet expand to nine A330-200F aircraft.

Turkish Airlines has opted for Rolls-Royce’s Trent 700 engine to power its new freighters and has signed a $300m “long-term” MRO support contract with the OEM.
