UIA Takes Two 737s On Lease From AerCap

Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) has taken two 737-800 aircraft from Dutch lessor AerCap as the flag carrier continues its fleet renewal programme.

Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) has taken two 737-800 aircraft from Dutch lessor AerCap as the flag carrier continues its fleet renewal programme.

The addition of the narrowbodies, which were delivered earlier this month, takes UIA’s total fleet size to 35 aircraft comprised of 30 Boeing jets and five Embraer E190s.

Yevgen Churyumov, UIA fleet projects manager, said the airline hopes to continue working with Amsterdam-based AerCap as it further modernises its fleet, with five more 737-800s scheduled to arrive before the end of 2016.
