The aircraft is the last of 56 to be re-painted after Virgin Australia rebranded from a low-cost carrier in 2011 under its “Game Change Programme”.

Under the project, Virgin Australia also rolled out new uniforms, lounges and premium airport entries, alliance partnerships and its frequent flyer programme.

Townsville-based company, Flying Colours, repainted 23 of the aircraft; it took 11 days, 1,200 man-hours, 18 painters and 260 litres of paint to rebrand each aircraft.
