US VIP modification and maintenance specialist Associated Air Center (AAC) has been awarded Part-145 approval by the Brazilian Civil Aviation Authority (ANAC).

The Standard Aero subsidiary provides completion and MRO services on Airbus Corporate Jets and Boeing Business Jets from its 930m2 facility at Dallas Love Field Airport in Texas.

Alongside FAA and EASA certification, AAC also holds approvals from aviation authorities in China, Kuwait, Oman and Nigeria.

The new approval enables the firm to maintain, repair and modify Brazilian-registered aircraft, “opening another door to Latin America”, said AAC’s president James Colleary.

He also confirmed that the company was already pursuing completion projects for “multiple” Brazilian customers.
