MRO Network is delighted to announce that for the first time the ‘Meet the Buyers’ programme will run across both days of ap&m Europe 2015 - the global aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) procurement expo being held at Olympia London on the 27th and the 28th May. ap&m is the only aviation exhibition of its kind in Europe to feature such a one-to-one networking opportunity and reflects a commitment to delivering real business opportunities to all exhibitors regardless of their size.
‘Meet the Buyers’ will take place in a dedicated area in the centre of the exhibition hall and provide a platform for exhibitors to hold at least three ten-minute face-face meetings with senior airline and MRO buyers attending the event. In 2014, ap&m Europe organised well over 1,500 such meetings, kick-starting literally hundreds of new buyer/supplier relationships; relationships that might never have started but for those meetings.
Delivering the programme over both days of the exhibition, instead of concentrating it on one day as in previous years, will allow for greater flexibility in arranging meetings and increase the likelihood of exhibitors being able to meet even the most popular buyers. To further help ensure that everyone derives maximum benefit, MRO Network has also refined its online matching service designed to compare the capabilities of industry suppliers with the needs and requirements of buyers. Approximately two weeks before the expo, the new online system will go live for everyone at the same time, enabling exhibitors to book meetings with airlines and MRO buyers of their choice. No special access rights will be given to sponsors or big exhibitors; everyone will get the opportunity to book at the same time on a first-come first-served basis.
Designed to facilitate business exchanges and contacts between airlines and their entire technical supply base, ap&m Europe covers the full range of MRO and related services with exhibitors, delegates and visitors representing the full spectrum of the activities which keep airlines flying.
Jeremy Buckle, Event Director, MRO Network, commented:
“ap&m Europe is not just an exhibition but three days of relationship building with both formal and informal networking opportunities on offer. The 2015 event will incorporate all of the features of previous years that have made it such an important date for the MRO industry. ap&m is constantly evolving as we listen to feedback from our exhibitors and visitors, enabling us to make a number of improvements, including splitting our ‘Meet the Buyers’ programme to cover both days of the exhibition”.
Christian Purps, Analyst Material Administration from Eurowings GmbH, a participant at ‘Meet the Buyers’ in 2014 quoted:
“The ‘Meet the Buyers’ speed dating session is the greatest way to getting an idea of new suppliers / vendors / airline business companies, you’d never thought about and opens your eyes for new business contacts, you’ll definitely keep in mind.”
The ap&m Europe summit, being held at the Hilton Olympia on the 26th May, will address all of the key issues affecting the global MRO market, including the growing assertiveness of OEMs in the aftermarket and the implications that has for MROs, airlines and lessors.
