Aviation Inventory Resources (AIR) has acquired 19 Saab 340B aircraft along with a spares inventory from American Airlines subsidiary Envoy Air.

According to AIR, the transaction is the single largest ever Saab 340 aftermarket aircraft and spares package.

The deal will see more than 11,000 line items relocated to AIR’s main facility in Dallas, where it will disposition the aircraft on a scheduled basis.

AIR said the acquisition of the aircraft and components will allow it to expand its AIRcare managed inventory programme, which offers parts support for the Saab 340.
