Kazakhstan carrier Air Astana is to move its aircraft and engine records to a web-based digital management system.

The airline has bought AerData’s STREAM software which will enable it to store, index and access scanned versions of hard copy technical records.

The system can be used via a secure web-link and integrated with MRO IT software systems. STREAM offers a way to manage live heavy maintenance services, according to AerData, and provides the option for users to share selected data with third parties, such as MRO providers.
