Air Malta gets IOSA renewal

Air Malta has renewed its IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) registration, following an audit carried out by an overseas IATA-accredited Audit Organisation.

Air Malta has renewed its IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) registration, following an audit carried out by an overseas IATA-accredited Audit Organisation.

The airline’s chief executive Philip Micallef said gaining the IOSA, the industry standard for global airline safety management, confirms Air Malta is conforming to required operational safety standards.

“Throughout the organisation we have in place a Safety Management System which helps us to proactively handle airline safety related matters,” said Micallef.

The carrier currently operates a fleet of eight A320 Family aircraft, comprised of six A320s and two A319s.
