Pakistani carrier Airblue has extended its contract with SR Technics covering maintenance of the CFM56-5B engines powering its A320 fleet.

The agreement, worth $30m and running until 2022, extends on a previous seven-year contract between the parties for the same services.

Sadia Mohammad, Airblue’s deputy managing director for operations, said the Islamabad-based airline extended its contract because of the Swiss MRO’s track record servicing its CFM engines.

“It is a record which clearly demonstrates that SR Technics provides the Swiss quality levels and safety stamp at the competitive rates that Airblue and its customers prize greatly,” he said.
