AJW Group has appointed Han-Ley Tang as chief information officer to oversee its global IT functions.
Beginning in the newly created role on Jan. 3, Tang will lead the British aircraft spare parts company’s IT functions, with a specific focus on driving performance and digital transformation. He will also assume responsibility for AJW continuing to utilize technology in support of its long-term strategic plan.
Cambridge University graduate Tang, who will be based at the company’s headquarters near Horsham, West Sussex, has previously held roles at financial services group UBS and consultancies PwC and Altius Consulting.
Christopher Whiteside, president and CEO of AJW Group, described the new appointment as an “important step” in the company’s evolution as it focuses on building its IT operation.
Tang is the latest addition to AJW’s leadership team in recent months, following the appointment of a new technical director in November 2017.
Martin Haynes, formerly of Kenya Airways, joined AJW to oversee technical standards and best practices across all divisions of the business.
