AJW Aviation has won a six-year contract with Chinese carrier Qingdao Airlines to provide cost-per-flight hour component support to its fleet of A320 aircraft.

The Shanghai-headquartered airline, which launched in April with leased aircraft, has announced orders for a total of 23 A320 family aircraft, including five A320ceos and 18 A320neos.

Qingdao is set to take delivery of the first of its A320 order in 2018, and its fleet is expected to grow to more than 50 aircraft in the next six years.

The announcement further increases AJW’s presence in China, where it works with Air China and Shangdong Airlines.
