Air Lease Corporation (ALC) has seen revenues increase by 23 per cent to $256m for the three months to June 30.
ALC’s chairman and CEO, Steven Udvar-Házy, said: “[We] have now eclipsed $10bn in total assets, and we are executing our vision to be the leasing industry leader with the youngest, most fuel-efficient, technologically advanced commercial aircraft.”
At the end of Q2, ALC owned 207 aircraft leased to a global customer base of 77 airlines operating in 47 countries; it had delivered 13 new aircraft; sold two and managed a dozen for third parties.
At this year’s Farnborough Airshow, ALC became the launch customer for the A330neo.
In July, ALC entered into agreements with Airbus and Boeing to purchase 76 additional aircraft – 60 A321neos, six 777-300ERs and 10 737MAX aircraft.
