Japanese carrier All Nippon Airways (ANA) has extended its contract with UTC Aerospace Systems for On-Site Support (OSS) services covering its fleet of Boeing and Airbus aircraft.

The agreement, worth in excess of $60m, includes complete repair and inventory support services for ANA’s air management, electric power and engine systems.

As part of the OSS programme, UTC will provide spare parts allowing ANA to maintain its fleet in its own repair shops. In addition, UTC will provide support for ANA's 787 variable frequency speed generators and auxiliary starter generators for the first time.

Toshiaki Kobori, ANA’s senior vice-president of materials management, said: “This agreement allows us to maintain the highest quality of on-time services in our repair shops, and to evolve to maintenance on next-generation platform such as the 787.”
