Ameco Signs First Engine RPFH Contract

Chinese MRO Ameco Beijing (Ameco) has agreed its first rate-per-flight-hour (RPFH) contract for engine maintenance.

Chinese MRO Ameco Beijing (Ameco) has agreed its first rate-per-flight-hour (RPFH) contract for engine maintenance.

The deal is with Ameco’s long-standing customer Shanghai Airlines, a wholly owned subsidiary of China Eastern. The deal covers the carrier’s fleet of 14 PW4000s which power its six 767s and will see Ameco provide repair, overhaul and other maintenance services under a new flat-rate model.

Ameco, which provides MRO services on PW4000 and RB211 engines, also confirmed that it was developing overhaul capability on a new engine type.
