ATR Signs MRO Support Contract For PNG Air’s 72-600s

Turboprop manufacturer ATR has signed a 12-year global maintenance agreement (GMA) with Papua New Guinea carrier PNG Air for its fleet of 72-600 aircraft.

Turboprop manufacturer ATR has signed a 12-year global maintenance agreement (GMA) with Papua New Guinea carrier PNG Air for its fleet of 72-600 aircraft.

The airline has recently received one aircraft, with a further six set to join its fleet within two years.

The GMA covers component overhaul and engineering services including the repair of line replaceable units (LRU), maintenance of propellers, landing gear and leading edges.

The contract also includes pooling services from ATR’s Singapore facility and on-site stock access at PNG Air’s base in Port Moresby.
