Avianor Granted STC For A330 Seat Modification

Avianor has received a supplemental type certificate (STC) from Transport Canada for the modification of A330 passenger seating.

Avianor has received a supplemental type certificate (STC) from Transport Canada for the modification of A330 passenger seating.

The Quebec-based firm said it designed the modifications to allow easy removal of the previously installed IFE system on the aircraft to replace it with Zodiac Inflight Innovations’ Rave system.

As part of a larger project, the Y class seats were re-branded for the new operator and the design completed to allow installation of the new system.

Earl Diamond, CEO of Avianor, said: “As we have extensive stock of the Y and J class seats modified for these projects, we have decided to apply for STC familiarisation status with EASA and FAA, thereby allowing us to deliver this solution to our global client base.”
