Component specialist Avtrade said it grew its power-by-the-hour (PBH) contracts in Q1 2016, including the signing of a new component support contract in Asia-Pacific with a Thai operator.
Under the terms of contract with the unnamed airline, Avtade will provide PBH support to its fleet of 767s. The UK-based firm said its customer offering in the region was aided by an increase in CAAC approved inventory, regional component repairs and local account management.
Avtrade said it also won new contracts in Europe with Swedish and Spanish airlines, servicing the 737 and 767.
It also added to its leasing portfolio by penning a contract with a South African carrier to support its 737 fleet with inventory located at the airline’s Johannesburg headquarters.
