BAE Extends Braathens JetSpares Agreement

Component support services will continue until 2018.

BAE Systems Regional Aircraft has won a two-year extension for its JetSpares services contract with Braathens Regional Airlines covering the Swedish carrier’s fleet of 12 Avro RJ regional jets.

As part of the new agreement, approximately 621 components are covered across the fleet, comprised of 10 Avro RJ100s and two RJ85s.

The renewal is the latest for Braathens, which first entered the JetSpares program in 1996.

It currently operates the Avro RJ100 aircraft for domestic routes in Sweden from its hub at Stockholm Bromma airport.

The two RJ85s are employed for charter services to destinations across Europe.
