Avionics supplier BAE Systems has won a five-year contract to support Emirates’ fleet of 777s.

Under the deal, BAE will provide maintenance services on flight controls, flight deck systems, and control and monitoring systems, as well as other BAE avionics equipment fitted during the aircraft’s manufacture.

Services will be provided at BAE facilities in Singapore, the UK and the US, and the contract guarantees turnaround times and access to parts in those regions.

Emirates’ fleet of 138 777s is the largest in the world. The new deal is the latest in a 20-year relationship between the carrier and the avionics firm.
